Journaling is one of the most powerful tools you can use to manifest your desires more quickly.
But if you’re like most people when you first begin learning about the Law of Attraction you believe that whatever you say, do, feel, act on, etc, will manifest in your life.
Whether you want it to or not.
So you avoid journaling.
You avoid those “negative” feelings.
Then you might begin to wonder why in the actual heck your desires aren’t manifesting???
Well, the truth is, negative emotions are actually a good thing.
And releasing them in healthy ways such as journaling can actually help you manifest a lot more quickly.
Why Does Journaling Work?
Here’s the thing, there’s more than one law of the universe, in fact, there’s 12 and probably many, many more.
And while the Law of Attraction is the most well known, the two laws that journaling work with are the Law of Vibration and the Law of Vacuum.
The Law of Vibration states that everything in the universe is vibrating at a certain frequency. And their vibration is determined by their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and actions.
The Law of Vaccum states that you must release old energies to bring in new energies.
It’s kind of like the cup analogy.
If you fill up your cup with “negative” emotions and continue to do that until the cup overflows, what type of emotions, beliefs, thoughts, and actions overflow into that person’s life?
Which just continues to cycle of manifesting more negative events, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and actions. And around and around it goes.
Journaling works to release old beliefs, thoughts, and feelings to allow new ones to come in.
Or at least the type of thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that you want to use to manifest a life you actually enjoy living.
Not only that but the idea that if you journal out what you don’t want you’ll end up getting that, is simply based in fear.
And fear always come from the ego.
Manifesting from the ego never works out….trust me.
Remember this, your journal is just for you, for your thoughts, your fears, your desires.
It’s not for the universe or anyone else for that matter so the more honest you are in your journal, the more you will release and the more good you can fill your cup back up with.
How to use Journaling to Manifest with the Law of Attraction
Now that you know that journaling is actually a good thing and can be used to help you manifest more quickly, I want to show you how to actually create a practice out of it and how you can use it specifically to manifest your desires.
There are many different ways to journal and there are no right or wrong ways to do this, but the three most common types are journaling during the moon cycles, scripting, and daily practice.
Full & New Moon Journaling
The moon goes through cycles and near the beginning to middle of the month there is a full moon cycle and at the end of the month, there is a new moon cycle.
These moon cycles are very powerful and can be extremely powerful tools to manifest.
The full moon is a time for releasing old beliefs and things that no longer serve us.
While the new moon is a time to embrace new energy and journal out what we desire to manifest.
There are many different rituals you can use during both of these cycles of the moon but my favorite way to use journaling to release and call in new desires.
Full Moon Ritual:
I make a list in my journal of all the feelings, actions, behaviors, thoughts that I want to release and make a note that I choose to release these things because they no longer serve me.
Once I’m finished I use sage around my room and instead of using fire to release, I use water and envision the water washing away everything that no longer serves me.
You can check out these two sites for even more new moon rituals that are extremely powerful!
New Moon Ritual:
I again use journaling to call in everything I want into my life.
I write down everything I want to manifest during this cycle and sign it with that day’s date, it is done and gratitude.
Whether you create your own moon rituals or use someone else’s make sure it feels right for you because that’s all that matters.
How to Use Scripting to Manifest Your Desires
Scripting is a really fun way to get into the feeling of already having whatever it is you want to manifest.
Which is key by the way.
But if it sounds like one of the biggest paradoxes in manifestation, it’s because it is.
Alright so how do you use scripting to manifest what you want?
You write out what a perfect a day in the life looks like for you. Or your ideal day in the life.
A day in the life of the person you want to become.
As an example, if you wanted to manifest a new car, you would begin your script with, “I am so happy and grateful that today I picked up the keys for my brand new car…”.
And then you’d write about what you did with the car as if it had just happened that day.
The biggest key with scripting is to make sure you write as much detail as possible about what you felt when you manifested your desire.
Also, talk about the people you were with and how they felt and reacted.
Our minds react to emotions and specificity.
Tips on Writing your Script:
1. Be specific on what you want: Today I went to pick up my new Golden Retriever puppy named Max.
2. Be clear on why you want it: Having my new puppy Max around will help make me feel more comfortable when I’m home alone or in crowds of noisy people.
3. Express Gratitude: I am so happy and grateful that I got to go pick up my new puppy Max today. Gratitude and love are very high vibe emotions that make you feel pretty dang good.
4. Make it Believable: You have to actually believe it’s possible for you to receive what you want. If you want a million dollars in one week but believe it’s only possible for you to have $1,000 or that people with a million dollars are greedy then you’re not going to manifest it.
You can make scripting a daily practice or do it once a month. It is totally up to you and the whole point is to be as detached as possible to the outcome. Your goal is to be so caught in becoming the version of you who already has the life you want that the possibility of it not happening doesn’t even cross your mind.
Daily Practice Journal Prompts
The last and probably most obvious way of using journaling to manifest your desires is to simply make it a daily habit.
There are many different ways you can go about doing this but my favorite way is to include journaling into my morning routine.
You can use stream of consciousness journaling, where you just write whatever comes to mind.
Literally, whatever pops into your head.
You can make a gratitude practice out of it by journaling out 5 things you are grateful for that day.
Journal prompts are also another way to make journaling part of your daily schedule and are great for anyone who is new to journaling or doesn’t really know what to journal about.
Journal prompts also get you into the habit of asking yourself really good questions.
And when you ask yourself really good questions, you get really good answers.
By now, you can see just how much journaling can change and improve your life. Can you
use these journaling prompts every day? Of course, you can! Journaling is an easy way for
you to get the results you want out of life and I can show you how.
Now you can grab a simple and clean PDF download of all of these journal prompts and more for just

The whole point of daily journaling is to release any trapped emotions from the day before to help you go into your day in a much more positive way.
It also makes room in your brain for thoughts that actually help you manifest your desires.
And well, you just think more clearly. So why not journal daily??
Find a Practice that Works for You
At the end of the day, journaling is a fantastic way to release trapped emotions, call in new desires and get clear on what it is you actually want in life.
You can journal anywhere, anytime.
The goal is to find a practice that works best for you and makes you happy.
And one that you will stick to in the long run.
Don’t forget to share with a friend or pin for later.
